OK so I is in a predicament. I have taken steps to look elsewhere for the betterment of my career, and there have been a few positive interviews, actually two.
The first is an almost carbon copy of my current place of work, only better paying and less annoying. The people are supposedly friendly and the working environment is comfortable. This was my first interview in 4 years.
The second one happened soon after, which was quite unexpected since i couldn't remember i'd even applied. So ANYWAY... I went for the interview, it was a well known sri lankan financial advisory starting something new. So i did the interview and now have two possible choices in my hands.
And therein lies the predicament i mentioned earlier. Do i leave a stable, semi laid back, comfortable job for either a somewhat similar yet higher paying job or for a totally different, stricter and more professional career??
The stricter job offers something different and scary at the same time offering me possible growth. The similar higher paying job allows me to continue my current laid back comfortable less stressful approach with more benjamins but possibly not AS much growth but that's not certain just yet.
Right there you have it. My quandary. HELP!!!
Please.

Hmm. Quandary indeed, and not one you can make a quick decision on.
You could either risk the scary professional one (which could possibly turn non-scary once you get the hang of things),or you could choose immediate comfort. One way or another, it's definitely a positive change in your life. Congratulations on acing both interviews- some of us have to try at least 10 before we get a callback. :)
Hmmm.
I'd say pray. Either way, you're meant to choose whatever you will, and everything happens for a reason. All part of the master plans. Keep that faith.
I'm proud of you.
Interesting choice...pushing oneself out of the box every now and then is nice...mind you the stress can get to one sometimes. I took a much more challenging job during my last job switch...no regrets but I can't stand the stress anymore...long story short my advice (for what its worth) since you already have the current experience, try something new. If that proves too much you have something to fall back on no? Good luck!
I'd leave for a better career prospect. I kinda want to stress out and push myself to the limit while young. Tend to learn a lot too. Best of luck with your decision! I've got a toughie one to take as well....ranted about here :I http://colomborantings.blogspot.com/2008/07/get-some-spunk.html
