Recently a friend of mine came up with the above idea, and that got me thinking too.
Wouldn't it be great if we could go abroad on a holiday and yet work and finance your stay for as long as necessary? To backpack and travel, to see the sights, meet new people, enjoy new foods, witness more than just the utter chaos that has now become a norm in this tiny little island we call home. Pretty cool idea indeed.
But how does one go about it? There are the visas, the research into part time jobs, the settling of debts over here and the convincing of current employment that I'd be back and hopefully to the same job role. Hmm. That's a bit of a tough ask ne?
I'd like to know if anyone reading this blog has had any experience in such an adventure, and if so please do tell me how you managed it.
We only live once, and I ain't sure getting younger, when else is it going to be a good time to try something like this. Deep down I wish circumstances were slightly different wherein I could possibly be able to do this with that special someone... but life has it's own ways of turning out.
It could be a turning point in my life if I do manage to pluck up the guts and the dough to take this adventure. I might end up serving tables, working behind a bar, being a doorman or even milking a cow, but whatever I end up doing I know it'll definitely be an experience.
Now... how do I do this?
