Third Time A Groom?

I'm sure you've heard the term above mentioned before. I have. But in my case it really doesnt seem to be the case. I've been the 'Best Man' three times already and as far as i know of, i really dont see anything happening between the next time i'm called up to stand by another bugger as he says i do, at least not before next January that is.

Most me buddies are already married or going to be, and it makes you wonder what's in store for you. Someone recently said that its funny how couples change their outlook on their partners behaviour and social standing when they get hitched. From being party animals, who just enjoyed each others company and let everything slide, to over-sensitive, over-protective and jealous 'NO you cant wear that', 'I dont like you going there by yourself' attitude.

Why is that? I know couples who've apparently not really changed at all from how they started out, but at the same time that in itself has caused its own set of issues. We want our partners to be exciting and fun, but at the same time when they don't change to more responsibile adults and be more mindful in their thinking, we silently complain. Weird no?

In any case marriage has its own plateus of ups and downs, and no ones to say you wont succeed in living a long healthy hair in ear kind of relationship. I guess we all just try our best given the circumstance.

It certainly aint for everyone.

Hiya Doc!

Well,as human beings, I guess our wants and needs change all the time.. even in terms of what we expect from others...So wanting to see some kind of change in our partners would come naturally. However dealing with it and getting it would be left to the person...

I see lotsof my friends getting married too... and it freaks me out sometimes... The thought of being bound for life with someone... a life time commitment... Good heavens...Oh well, I'm still young and I shouldn't be thinking about this...

But perhaps it's time Uncle Doc did!! ;-) Just kidding... see ya.. Tc
Enjoy life... what's meant to be will always find it's way.. So it may be best not to think too much about certain things in life...

tnx Lady.

I guess i'm built that way, where i think too much about things.

I overdo a lot of things. Caring is one of those things.

My blessing and my curse.
